Slow

Imperceptible paths on limbless roads, unwinding into a drowsy trot

half asleep today goes by, squelched beneath yesterday's rot

determined to uncoil this day, stretch into an endless loop

overzealous calloused hands lazily let taut reigns droop

stare through a frigid light, refrigerator yawning with leftovers 

buried in fringes of buffering Internet, what was slow is now slower 

a marathon crawl of lethargy at leisure, determinations replaced by 'perhaps' 'maybe'

take a hike, a back seat..carpe diem, but not today baby!
